Would You Decorate With Twin Beds in a Guest Room?

While most guest rooms I've stayed in have featured a full- or queen-size bed, I love the idea of adding a pair of twin beds to a guest room space. It might not be the most practical choice for a visiting couple, but twin beds are a great resource for a pair of friends or family members who might be dropping in. The two beds in this photo have such a harmonious feel to them, don't you think?

I suppose if I had more than one guest bedroom, I would. Just to change it up a bit. I like the look a lot. It could be fun to plan and decorate.

We have 2 guest rooms. One has a trundle bed, which can be twin beds or a king size bed as well as a single. The other guest room has 2 twin beds.

I wish I could. A pair of twin beds takes up more space than a king size bed (2 twins = a regular king, plus w/ 2 twins you need space between the beds.) There is not enough room in our designated guest room for 2 twins.

I live in the town where I went to college (Oxford, Mississippi), so all year long (and during football season especially) my place feels like a bed and breakfast for my college and law school friends who constantly visit. I often wind up with crazy groupings of people who might not necessarily belong in a bed together, so I find that the twin beds in my guest room are actually the most functionable. No one complains about it, at least!
