When I stayed at the Palihouse Holloway hotel in West Hollywood I was blown away by the design details. It's modern without being cold, lodgey without overdoing it, and trendy without trying too hard. I especially love the lobby's cork-covered walls, which have a metallic design imprinted on them, and the oversize framed collections of Polaroids in many of the rooms. And you feel like you're sitting at a French outdoor café when dining at its restaurant, The Hall, which offers a raw bar, traditional British Sunday brunch, and a mean cocktail. Don't let its "long-stay" label (or room prices!) scare you off, I used Tablet Hotels to snag a last-minute one-night reservation for a great price. Have you stayed at Palihouse Holloway? What did you think?
