Photos of Vintage Brasilia Collection Furniture, Flor Tiles, Ikea Curtains in Dining Room

A Mostly Vintage Dining Room

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member Carolynz from the Vintage Delight group:

After more than two years of living in our 1968 contemporary home, our dining room is the first room in our home to be truly complete. All of the furniture is from Broyhill's Brasilia line.  It took winning one eBay auction, two years of searching Craigslist, and travels to three states to collect all of the right pieces.  This is the third Broyhill (sixth overall) table we have had in this room since we moved into the house over two years ago.   It was musical chairs and tables in our dining room until the right ones were found.  At one point I gave up Craigslist for Lent because I was becoming rather obsessed with finding the right stuff!

We have two leaves for the table so it can stretch to 9 inches long and we have 12 chairs including 2 arm chairs.  As you can see the chairs do vary slightly — some of them have "stretchers" on the legs and some do not, all have been professionally reupholstered with welting detail.

We have two sets of sliders in the room.  One set leads to our smaller deck where we keep our grill, the other set leads to a sun room which serves as our children's playroom.  I love being able to close the curtains and hide the kids' stuff.  The curtains are from Ikea and were chosen because they incorporate the colors of our two different china patterns.

The rug is made up of Flor carpet tiles.  The light fixture is the Norm 69.  I assembled both myself.
