Palm Springs is a mecca for midcentury design addicts, and there's no better place to pay homage to the era's architecture and interiors than one of the city's most prized design haunts: The Parker Palm Springs. Thanks to new ownership and a redesign by Jonathan Adler in 2004, the hotel retained its '60s cool factor but now feels a bit more luxe bohemian due in part to Adler's witty mix of global design influences — think cool rooms warmed up by Peruvian weavings and Edwardian chairs. It's a playful but chic look you'll want to emulate for your own home. After fantasizing about living at The Parker Palm Springs, I decided to book a stay to dissect my favorite design moments from the hotel — both big and small. While I highly recommend experiencing the hotel in person, these pieces capture a slice of the exoticism and eccentricity that characterize the hotel's signature look.
