Perhaps in a move to manufacture optimism, Pantone has named 2009 the year of Mimosa. The hue is definitely bright and sunny.
According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, "The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance. . . . Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation."
Are you a fan of this bright yellow shade, or do you prefer the more morose purple hue of Pantone's color of the year for 2008, Blue Iris?

Mishumo
Its not a bad yellow but I fear I'd get tired of it. I don't like the iris color at all.
1They really like some bright colors. It's unfortunately a bit too bold for my taste.
2I could go for a mimosa right now.
I prefer the blue iris.
3I'm not a big fan of the iris. I really like mimosa (the color or the drink), but I'm not sure I'd want a whole room painted that color. It would be lovely as an accent color, though.
4I just painted my dining room sweet mimosa which isn't as yellow as mimosa and it's gorgeous! I love bright colors though. It's actually more of an orange, I think. I just don't know what to accent it with? Dark blue? i think that might clash with my alfalfa painted living room...idk?
