Open-Plan Room Decorating Ideas and Pictures

I discovered this Victorian house in Queens Park, London, on Light Locations, a photography location company, and it's convinced me that I must have an open-plan room! I couldn't go for an entirely open-plan home, like a loft, but having the kitchen and dining spaces in the same room just makes sense for my lifestyle. When the dinner party winds down, it would be nice to also have a living area in the room for drinking wine and chatting comfortably with friends. (Yes, all my design ideas relate to wine.) I love this one in particular because the open plan space has folding doors that open up to a big patio and a yard — even better. Come take the full tour!
