One Good Chair Contest

For 2010, the Sustainable Furnishings Council and World Market Center Las Vegas's One Good Chair Design Competition asked contestants to riff on the theme "Minimum/Maximum." While minimizing production, materials, shipping, and assembly, the chair also had to maximize elements including durability, beauty, comfort, and utility. Sounds like a tall order! The judges have narrowed the contestants down to five finalists, each of whom will display the chair's prototype at the 2011 Winter Las Vegas Market January 24-28.
