Obamas to Plant White House Garden Today After much petitioning from Slow Food supporters around the country, the Obamas will finally begin planting a garden on the White House lawn, the first such victory garden to be created there since the one Eleanor Roosevelt planted during World War II. The garden will provide food for family and formal dinners, and the entire Obama family will do their part to make it grow!
