The Hottest House in Harlem Belongs to Neil Patrick Harris

To say 2014 was a big year for Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka would not do it justice; Harris filmed the final season of the hit series How I Met Your Mother, the couple and their 4-year-old twins moved from Los Angeles to New York City, Harris gave a Tony Award-winning performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and the longtime couple tied the knot in Italy.

On top of that, they completed a yearlong renovation on the five-story, 19th-century Harlem townhouse they bought in the Summer of 2013 for almost $4 million. Exhausted yet?

The dynamic duo just opened their newly remodeled home to Architectural Digest. Check out a few of the pictures ahead, and visit Architectural Digest for the full story.

The walls in the music room are lined with elegant and sound-insulating fabric walls. A Yamaha piano is the focus of the room, but an oversize Anna Lapin painting steals the spotlight.

The den is an eclectic mix of magic memorabilia, Gibson guitars, and masculine leather furnishings.

Son Gideon's room blends traditional RH Baby & Child furnishings with lively boyish touches, including a Flash Gordon lithograph and Keith Haring chair.

The stunning renovation was designed by interior designer Trace Lehnhoff in collaboration with architecture firm Povero & Company.
