Midday Muse: An Inspiring Work Space

The ideal office should both inspire and soothe, and that's precisely why I love this workspace of North Carolina-based artist Rick Catlow. It's colorful without being distracting and functional without looking too buttoned-up.

I love the color on the wall. Wow, that's pretty. My office is white, but the wall is covered with pictures and my board and books.

Rik is a personal friend of mine, and I've gotten to see his studio up close -- he actually does keep it this neat usually, and the art he makes in there is incredible, too.

OMG - He's so organized. I wonder if it stays that way. Personally - I clean up in order to have something to mess up and it's very hard for me to keep my areas this neat. Going from one project to the next and using one media and then another is the culprit. At least that's my excuse ;)
