Check out the Christmas tree that designer Charles Eames made from molded plywood chair legs back in 1946.
The Eames molded-plywood chair was unveiled to the public in 1946, and variations of these designs are still in production. This is the only example I can think of involving the wonderful chairs being turned into a Christmas tree, though.
