On the Market: Crow Hill

Oooh if only I were a millionaire! I just stumbled across this historic Greek Revival home for sale in Upstate New York (Kinderhook), on the market for $1.9 million, and I've died and gone to heaven. On the National Registry of Historic Places, the property, called Crow Hill, was built in 1839 by American General Charles Whiting on more than 30 acres on a hill overlooking Kinderhook Creek, with views of the Catskill Mountains.

The five-bedroom, four-bath estate boasts a spherical dome cupola, 12-foot ceilings, six fireplaces, and floor-to-ceiling walk-out windows. It's been exquisitely renovated, maintaining all original architectural features but integrating modern appliances.

The exterior alone is breathtaking, but the interiors truly make me swoon. Full of antiques and historical artwork, it's very traditional. But solid, cool wall colors and few patterns or textiles make it feel fresh and calm. It's also really well-balanced with wood, fur, marble, mirror, and glass, keeping each room visually light.
