A new offering from New York-based design firm KGB Limited, the Zaragosa coffee table is part of its inspired Spring 2012 line. This chic, substantial, American-made table mixes the classic look of Calacatta marble with gorgeous walnut wood, with the two materials meeting in box joint details on the tabletop.
When asked about the table, KGB Limited told us,"The Zaragosa coffee table is the product of a deepening appreciation of stone and its qualities, gained over the last few years. Several of our pieces utilize single, carved slabs of marble and we also do a lot of custom stonework. We agreed that for our next piece, we wanted to incorporate a second material to juxtapose against the marble. We loved the idea of wood joinery and decided to utilize modern CNC capabilities and laser cutting to create something that we hadn’t seen before: a stone/wood joint."
The effect is breathtaking, with the deep brown hue of the walnut contrasting with the gray marble slab. For more information on this table, check out KGB's offerings online or stop by the Ford Lininger showroom in New York.
