PS: What was the impetus for creating MONC XIII?
NE: After 15 years as an interior designer curating my clients' homes, it was really a natural progression to open a lifestyle gallery. I felt there was a void in connecting the dots in how we decorate and design our homes and how we then live in them. With MONC XIII, I wanted to bridge this gap. Consequently, we spent two years renovating our building to reflect a home-like atmosphere in which I could curate both furniture and lifestyle elements.
PS Home: What sort of factors do you keep in mind when choosing pieces for your store?
NE: The requirements for me are quality, honest craftsmanship, uniquity, beauty, function, and, lastly, timelessness.
