Are swans going to replace peacocks as 2009's top fowl? Anthropologie's certainly putting them to good use in the garden. The Anthropologie Swan Planter ($78 for large) reminds me of my grandmother's ceramic planters. Is it too old-fashioned for you, or do you appreciate its throwback elegance?

I like swans, but I'm not loving those particular planters. They seem familiar, like I've seen them in the Wal Mart garden section.

they sell these at urban outfitters too. i think they're too 80s for me~!

My grandma used to make those in her ceramics class back in the early 80's. We had tons of those, and matching swan towel holders ;-)

A little too twee for my liking, in the right garden it could work.

I like them. My grandma had a bunch like them so I find them nostalgic.

Love it in green, not so much in white (that can look like plastic)
