Love It or Hate It? Monochromatic Decorating

Talk about modern, chic, and white, white, white! In last night's episode of Mad Men, Roger Sterling's new office is decked out with a chrome bar cart, a sleek Saarinen tulip table, and an overwhelmingly white palette. I actually love monochromatic color schemes, though I tend to hop from color to color in my home. How do you decorate with color?

I am into an all black and white scheme in every room right now! It is taking a bit to put it all together, but many of my wood pieces are now sporting a new coat of paint! :) Who knew there were so many choices of black and white paint?

I like to mix things up but monochromatic neutral colors are very nice such a black, white, beige and gray. Definitely nothing bright or bold.

I like monochromatic color schemes as long as they are not overwhelming. White everything would be a bit creepy - it's nice to break it up a bit. I like adding in pops of color to a monochromatic scheme to make it more personal/cozy.
