In this dining room, classic modern Vitra Panton Chairs ($262) are paired with a traditional dining table with turned wood legs. I think this little touch of modernity is refreshing, especially for a place which, judging from the wainscoting, isn't a contemporary home. Do you like this mix-and-match effect?

I guess it could work but I don't like it in the above picture.
I like it but I also have a classic dining table with more modern chairs.
I could like it - but i think it would be better if the table was just traditional shape, but was painted a shiny black or something.
I love pairing old with new!
I guess it could work in some situations, but I voted against because it messes with the feel and the point of either one. I have nothing against either style by themselves, but I don't like the "mix 'n match" idea of it. Good poll, though!
I think you can mix old with new, but the chairs are just a little modern in this example.
the chairs are wrong - they should be modern, yes, but more in keeping with the rest of the design. say a louis ghost chair?
I'm not crazy about this combination but I do like mixing modern and traditional furniture.
Strangely enough, this particular combination works well for me.
