Love It or Hate It? Miss Rio Ottoman

I love the sentiment behind the Miss Rio Ottoman ($350), designed by Karin Wittmann Wilsmann and available at Design Within Reach. The wild rubber footstool is made from unworn surplus flip-flops and manufactured by social organizations that employ otherwise unemployed workers in Brazil. But I'm just not really loving the look.

oh, you know what it is (i just took another look at it), if the colors would be more uniform .. like shades od red , shades of green or whatever, it would be more pleasing to the eye and therefore search people to like ti more. If it were all one shade of a color (say: blue that I totaly LOVE) I would ttoaly buy that, and forget the doggies, I'll put it in my room where they are not allowed.

If you did not state what it was I would of never guessed it. It looks more like one of those goof balls hats the kids sometimes wear. I am not digging it.

I thing it looks like one of those rubber toys that my kids have. I don't like the toys and i sure as heck dont like that thing! Maybe if i was 2. other than that its hideous! who ever made shouldnt quit their day job. not only that but $350.00! thats a rip off i could make one cheaper and better looking and more versatile!
