The refillable Hand Grenade Oil Lamps ($55-$65) by Dutch designer Piet Houtenbos are made from real US Army surplus grenades and sealed with a genuine US quarter on the bottom for additional American authenticity. Perhaps not the prettiest mood lighting for your Love Shack, but original nonetheless. It would make a unique gift for a history-buff bachelor, or an ironic and shell-shocking accent among the girly clutter in your home.

I know I'm in the minority (and I'm anti-war and have pretty conventional style 99 percent of the time), but I love this. I wouldn't use it as a lamp, but it would look great on one of my bookshelves.
