Love It or Hate It? Avalisa Deer Rug

Oh deer — what's not to love about this Avalisa rug ($1,360 for 10-ft.-x-12-ft. size)? Made from hand-tufted New Zealand wool, it's bound to look good in a quirky design scheme or a very lucky child's playroom.

Hate it. The purple is in the shape of a neck pillow and the price, no way!

The designer was dearly off with this one. I would never match this type of animal with a funky print. But, that maybe why I am not a designer. Still, I would pass.

You know, up until a couple years ago, deer (especially fawns, specifically of the vintage persuasion) were my favourite animals. They were hard to find and it felt like mine, you know? I even went as a fawn for Halloween about five years ago! Then out of the blue they started popping up *everywhere*... necklaces, pillows, dishes, bags, *rugs*. I try not to be effected by trends, I really do, but it's ruined it for me. :( This is just another example.
