The words lattice and trellis have had heavy rotation in my vocabulary over the last few years, but the patterns show no signs of receding. While traditional lattice and trellis prints are more X-based, inspired by outdoor garden décor, à la mode patterns have more intricate, curved shapes, often taking cue from Moorish and Moroccan patterns. Some are more timeless than others, and, of course, if you add bold color and unusual texture into the mix, you can become wackier with your style.
One of my favorite new designs is the PB Teen Lattice Rug ($169-$699), which will add graphic contrast to your floors with its shapely diamond pattern. Another long-time fave is Madeline Weinrib Indigo Brooke Rug; but, whenever "inquire for price" is involved, it might cost you an arm and a leg. As for accessories, the Jill Rosenwald Hampton Links Cylinder has a lovely handmade quality and a vibrant color. Speaking of color . . . the Overstock.com Yellow Lattice Ceramic Garden Stool ($101) is one uninhibited piece of furniture! Click the rest of the product images to shop this look!
