Imagine our delight when we discovered that the pattern on the floor was actually a stencil that we could buy! It turns out that Melanie Royals, founder of Royal Design Studio Stencils, has developed 66 such Moroccan inspired stencils and is actually responsible for all of the ones found on the floors, walls, and ceilings of Peacock Pavilions. Skylar's Lace Floral Stencil ($149) clearly looks fantastic on floors but it would also work swimmingly on ceilings or on an accent wall. We love how the husband and wife team behind Bella Tucker Decorative Finishes used it in their formally carpeted basement guest room below. After ripping up the carpet, they treated the floor and then painted the stencil directly on the concrete. Read about the step-by-step process here.
