A brewery in an elementary school? Well, sort of. Kennedy School in Portland, OR, was renovated and transformed into a cool, eclectic hotel by McMenamins. Inside the 1915 property, old classrooms are now guest rooms, the auditorium serves as a movie theater, and the boiler room has become a bar. I've been here. The Boiler Room is actually a bar also. It's a really cool place. The McMenamin's have several old buildings that they've turned into bars, restaurants, and hotels. They're definitely worth a visit just to see the old buildings that they've restored.
