Textile designer Kathryn Ireland, whose fabulous home I featured on Casa (and covet), recently opened a West Hollywood, CA, store to display her wares. While you can also buy her products online or in showrooms, I'm partial to checking out Ireland's stylish shop in person.
In an LA Times article, Ireland notes, "I want [the shop] to be like my atelier sitting room . . . I want people to come in with an old throw, or a picture of an old room, and let us help them turn it into something beautiful."
Find out where the shop is located and check out a variety of Ireland's goods when you read more.
If you're lucky enough to live in LA, you can head down to take a peek at Ireland's shop yourself, which is located at 636 North Almont Drive, West Hollywood in Almont Yard, which houses myriad design studios on a cobblestone courtyard. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and by appointment. Besides Ireland's fabrics, the shop also represents Hugh Sinclair fabrics, LuLa fabrics from South Africa, Volga Linens from the UK, Hacienda Antiques, Christopher Howe Lighting from London, Hugo Guinness Artwork, Elson Rugs, Ferrick Mason fabrics and a lovely mix of antique textiles and pillows, furniture pieces, and books. Sounds like heaven to a textile fiend like me.
