CS: I adore the tutu on your wall! Does it have any significance? What is the other framed artwork next to it? Also, where did you source your bedroom linens?
JH: The tutu is from Aritzia. I bought it at a time of my life where my self-esteem was a bit shot – I took the tutu to some meetings in New York and wore it everywhere until I felt myself again. It reminded me to just go with it and not to care what others thought so much – just to make them and myself smile – and it did! I since have become obsessed with tutus and get them made from Olivia Valentina – a local artist here in Vancouver.
The piece beside the tutu is a faux architectural drawing of a building in France. Believe this or not – I got the drawing with the frame from Home Sense for $30! Crazy right!?
I get my sheets usually from Costco or Superstore – they have great quality thread counts for under $60 – I like to splurge on new linens once or twice a year, so inexpensive makes this possible. For bedding – I love Anthropologie!
