CasaSugar: The new collection is pretty heavy on nailhead trim. Do you think that's a trend or a detail that's been around and will stick around?
Devin Kirk: Nailheads have been around pretty much as long as upholstered furniture itself. They have definitely gotten more popular as a decorative element in the last few years, but they're really a timeless detail, so this is not one of those trends you are likely to regret in a few years.
In addition to traditional nailheads, we are using more of the hand hammered nails like you see on The Morgan Chair (right, $1,995). This is also an old-fashioned technique, but it's been used less than regular nailheads, so it can be a great new way to add some detail.
