Inspired: Parfait Pastels à la Patisserie

I fell in love with this photograph ($149 and up) from Vogue of a model stepping out with her chien in Paris for a treat at the famed tea salon, Cador Pàtisserie. From her elaborately-coiffed poodle to her chic, white, linen day dress to the pastel turquoise, pinks, and yellows in the bakery storefront, there is so much grace and femininity in the photo. I'm dreaming of translating it into a chic dressing and sitting room of my own, where I could sneak away to get dolled up in equally elegant ensembles or sit down with a cup of tea and a good book.

To decorate my patisserie-inspired getaway, I'd begin with the Adrienne Landau Isabella Rabbit-Fur Throw ($1,295), which reminds me of the frou-frou poodle. A delicate teacup is also a must have, so I'd pick up the Marchesa by Lenox Spring Lark Tea Cup ($49). A candy dish like the Ikea Yngaren Bowl ($6) to hold delicious treats would also be essential. And, for some reading, I'd pick up The Odyssey ($20), with an elegantly embossed cover. Click the rest of the product images to shop this look!
