Inspired: Mad Men's Haute Hotel Palette

If you watch Mad Men, you know that Roger Sterling loves to cheat on his wife. In a recent episode of Mad Men, he and his 20-something lover (and now fiancée!) Jane lounged in a hotel room whose color palette caught my eye. While I'm not a fan of infidelity, I do love the chestnuts, cool silvery greens, and ivory of this room. Inspired, I decided to look for other home furnishings and accessories that featured these colors.

I thought these colors would translate well in a feminine, modern sitting room. I love how the color palette acts as a restraint, allowing the femininity of the furniture to shine through.

The actress is beautiful. The color palette and pieces are lovely. However, they're not my personal taste. Generally, I pick a color palette that flatters MY coloring, so when I'm in the room, I look good, too. I consider my interior the backdrop for ME, so I could shine through as well. :)

Those bed linens are a must for any bedroom. They're so flexible and classic at the same time.
