The super-talented DM Events recently put together an inspiring photo shoot for a Fall-themed wedding party, aptly named Fall in Love. Every last detail, from the calligraphy by Love Jenna to the delicate dahlias, was absolutely gorgeous and left me feeling really inspired to host an equally chic party this Fall.
My favorite element of the look is the handmade place cards. Every Thanksgiving, I feel ambitious about making adorably autumnal place cards, but the smell of turkey and pecan pie in the oven distracts me. In the end, I give up and just write names on basic card stock, maybe with an orange pumpkin drawn on it. But this sophisticated and unique place card idea looks like a project I can easily take on. Simply cut out a piece of decorative paper to match your theme. Then, glue a scroll of brown craft paper on top of it — don't the rolled edges remind you of cinnamon sticks? Then, finish it off by gluing a couple of acorns on top. Three easy steps!
