10 Favorite Things: Andrea Stanford of Hunters Alley

May 28 2014 - 4:04am

One Kings Lane [1]'s newest venture, Hunters Alley [2], takes the legwork out of profitable purging, online treasure hunting, and most importantly, finding your next style muse. It seems fitting that its general manager, Andrea Stanford, is one of our industry muses. From her start-up days helping to launch local glossy C Magazine to her current title as VP of One Kings Lane's designer and vintage sales and Hunters Alley's manager, having great taste is pretty much a prerequisite. Keep reading to find out what this tastemaker can't live without!

The Palermo Soho Neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina

I travel frequently, and I just returned from a trip to Buenos Aires. Nothing is better than falling in love with a city the moment you meet it! My favorite area was the Palermo Soho neighborhood — the perfect place to get lost for an afternoon.

Hair Flowers!

I’m obsessed with using fresh flowers both in the hair and as jewelry right now. At our Hunters Alley launch event, we worked with floral and event studio Twig and Twine [5] and design studio Crafting Community to create the most beautiful pieces.

Artisanal Ceramic Wall Hangings by Heather Levine

We started an artisanal franchise on One Kings Lane last year, and Heather Levine was one of our top inspirations. Her ceramic wall hangings [7] are to die for. I just received my very first as a gift from a dear friend, and I’m sure this is the first of many.

Whole Foods Guru Pamela Salzman

I can barely cook, but thankfully my best friend Pamela Salzman [8] is always available to save me! In her sold-out cooking classes, she makes it seem so easy — and her website has healthy recipes that even I can follow.

Monogrammed Survival Kit by Preppi

A girl in LA has to be prepared — and this stylish earthquake kit from Preppi [9] is the best way to do it! Just waiting for the electricity to go out, so I can legitimately peek inside.

Shiva Rose Face Oil

With all the travel I do, facials and essential oils have become my new best friend, and Shiva’s face oil [10] is my favorite! We recently partnered with Shiva on a “Hunting With” sale on Hunters Alley, and I fell in love with her beautiful home style as well.

Vintage Playing Cards

I grew up playing cards with my family — and 10 years ago I quit my book club to join a home poker game, so no surprise that I also have a collection of vintage playing cards. I love the care and attention they gave to the look of each suit — I am always searching Hunters Alley for a deck to add to my collection!

Vintage Anything by Carl Aubock or Ward Bennett

I’ve always been a huge fan of their work, and I continue to search for new pieces to add to my collection. Both designers’ creations are the epitome of functional beauty.

Le Labo Santal 26 Concrete Candle

The answer to my Le Labo [11] addiction has arrived. This candle [12] in my favorite scent is my dreams come true. It lasts forever, and when it is finally done, the vessel will be stuffed with my favorite peonies!
