When was the last time you gave your windows a good scrub? Unless you've got a full service housekeeping staff, chances are you don't give your windows the love they deserve. Some experts recommend an extensive cleaning once a month. While that sounds idyllic, it also sounds a little aggressive. But perhaps I'd feel like I was walking on sunshine if I could actually see it a bit better through a sparkly bay window instead of a smudge-filled bird detractor.

I never wash my windows, every time I wash them a bird will smash into them within hourse and die. So, I leave the dirty film on them, and I put those transparent bird decals on the windows too. I love birds and it's more important to me that they live. However, a couple birds have died this season already, and I was so sad, as they may have had baby birds in nests and they may die too. Clean windows isn't worth it.

Yes, cleaning the windows once a month sounds a bit excessive, no? I cleaned my windows when I first moved into my new place...which was about 2 months ago. I clean my windows an average of two times per year.
