While I'd say that three people can comfortably fit on my sofa, in normal circumstances I prefer to have only one other person to sit on the sofa with me. Unless I'm hosting a party, where space is an issue, I feel more relaxed when there's just one other person cozied up on the other end of my sofa. How about you?

6-7!! We have a very long living room, so we just got our new couch. Three cushion sofa W/ and attached chase.. making it 4 cushions long. My fiance and I can both lay down at the same time & watch a movie, and now we have plenty of seating for guests!
13-4... My couch is like an oversized loveseat I guess? It's only 2 cushions long but they're bigger cushions than normal... My boyfriend & I can lay on it and our toes just reach the other end. I'm thinking of getting something a bit bigger though, maybe a sectional, for when we have company
2On the sofa in our formal living room, 3 can fit comfortably, 4 can squish in. The sofa in our family room can fit 6-7 easily because it's a wraparound sofa.
3I couldn't get a real sofa in my door because of the way it's positioned, so I had to settle on 2 big chairs and a loveseat. The loveseat only fits me and my Lucky dog.
4I have a pair of loveseats, which hold two people per loveseat. (or one large dog and one very squished person----or one very large dog all stretched out)
5we have an 8 seater - sectional. Prior to this we had lots of flea market finds that were all 2-3 seaters. I have to admit I'm feeling a bit spoiled
6Our place is too tiny for a couch. We just have a loveseat which only fits two comfortably.
73 but the other day we squeezed 4 in and it wasn't bad.
84, maybe 5. It's a long couch with attached chaise so it's fairly large.
9we have my parents' really, really old sectional, which fits like 6-7, sort of squished, but it always happens when we have a lot of people over...we also have a futon that can fit 3-4
10just sayin, i loved when in rome! haha
