I love this idea, and have been considering trying it out, but I was wondering how you mount them on the wall?
Interesting pendant lighting.
I went to the Museum of Art and Design in NYC a few weeks ago. They have an exhibit that we saw called "The Art of Industrial Ceramics". One of my favorite artworks from the exhibit was a wall display of plates, where each plate had one small segment of the classic Blue Willow pattern enlarged to fill the plate.
Shmoo15, check back later today for a tutorial on hanging plates!
I love this idea too! I'd love to hang different plates in white and blue, that traditional chinapattern. Think it would look gorgeous!
Aha! A picture is worth 1000 words...

I've done this with all white and ivory plates to balance out a room! You can find gorgeous styles at antique stores for very little money. I just refreshed my house "on the cheap" doing this, and adding candles as decor, very fun!
