Before storing your table linens, and other textiles like stockings and tree skirts, you must wash them. After lots of red wine, and "pass the cranberry sauce," I'm sure they're in need of a good washing. Check the washing instructions and send them to dry cleaning if need be. Iron them, and fold them neatly. I keep my table cloths and napkins on a hanger in a sealed plastic dry-cleaner bag. But, if you have a linen closet with shelves, or store your holiday linens separate from your daily ones, make sure to fold them neatly before boxing or storing them on a shelf.
