The Viceroy Snowmass is located just outside of Aspen, CO, at the base of a mountain, and is currently in the running to become the second LEED-Silver certified hotel in the state, and only one of eight in the entire country. This hotel isn't only eco, it's also eco chic, thanks to the gorgeous décor dreamed up by designers Jean Michel-Gathy and Kelly Wearstler. While Kelly is most well known for her Hollywood Regency style, she's channeled a more organic, earthy vibe in her design of the pool terrace, café, and bar. . Whether you're skiing, skating, sledding, snowboarding, or taking a fun sleigh ride, you can enjoy the Winter weather to the fullest at Viceroy, thanks to the ski-in/ski-out location of the hotel. Or, if your tastes run more toward the primped and pampered, you can take in a massage session at the Ute-inspired wellness spa, or chill at the year-round pool terrace. Geeks can delight in wireless privileges throughout the hotel and public spaces, and even finish some online shopping while sipping a signature cocktail at the bar. I adore the look of the hotel (especially the ceiling of the lounge, in the first photo), and wouldn't mind taking a ski vacation there myself. What do you think of the design?
