When they aren't across the pond in jolly London, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker hubby Chris Martin of Coldplay are usually nesting in New York, but that may change. According to Zillow, the couple recently plunked down serious cash, $10.45 million to be exact, for an East Coast-style estate in Brentwood, CA. The home was built fresh as a concept house by renowned So Cal designer Windsor Smith. Featured in Veranda magazine, the sprawling home includes rooms designed by a handful of the industry's designer elite, including Candace Barnes, Peter Dunham, and Kathryn Ireland. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate is 8,000 square feet, which leaves plenty of room for the young family of four. With expansive lands, lush landscaping, horse stables, and a paddock, the home reflects a distinct East Coast aesthetic — a definite departure from the Spanish-Colonials and midcentury modern homes that Los Angeles is known for.
