Since I'm a design fiend, I think my friends expect to receive decorating gifts from me. But it really can be just as hard to shop for décor gifts as it is for clothes. Year after year, I struggle to find something that appeals to their tastes and lifestyles.

I think I'm onto something, though. A few of my friends are big party girls, in the sense they that they are constantly hosting get-togethers and cocktail parties of all sorts. I've decided that a serving tray would be a great gift for these ladies. It's obviously great for entertaining, but can also be used as wall art or to organize knickknacks day to day. Thanks for having a variety of prices in your slideshow. I refuse to pay $200 for a serving tray so it's nice to see some beautiful trays in the $40.00 and less range. Of course, I go to Target, buy some plain white, black or red trays and decorate them myself. Makes a more personal gift and doesn't cost a lot of money. Gotta watch the pennies this holiday!!
1when i was in florida in old town, i saw really nice old fashioned pepsi and coca cola wooden trays.... i wish i'd got them now
i can't find them online anywhere either (i'm in the uk)
i also love the hermes tray which olivia has in the city in her apartment.
some of these are lovely, but agree $200 for a tray is a bit much - saying that, i don't know how much the hermes tray would be, but i feel it'd be worth it!
2I also agree, I'm wanting a really nice serving tray but I'm not about to spend almost 300.00 for one. I have a hard enough time paying 40.00 for one lol
3My local Williams-Sonoma and West Elm had some serving trays on sale. I almost bought one but realized that I have no home of my own
I should have snagged one up for a gift though!
