If you're decorating a masculine bedroom or a hipster dude haven, or if you just want to show off your taste for rock 'n roll, add a set of Recycled Album Jacket Coasters and a Vinyl LP Bowl ($29) to your home.
Etsy seller Inoudid's Attic is repurposing her husband's vintage vinyl record album collection into these one-of-a-kind coaster and bowl sets (side note: my husband would never forgive me if I started deconstructing his vinyl collection). Each set has nine coasters, made by laminating the album jacket to a piece of Baltic birch plywood. They're then protected with a clear, moisture-resistant finish, and have felt pads underneath to protect your tabletops. Are these your style?

I am not familiar with the materials, are those coasters worth $28? Because the record bowl takes 10 minutes to make and costs $1 (the price of the album).
Honestly, I'm embarrassed that I selfishly kept all the record bowls that I made when I should have been selling them for $20 each. Talk about profit!
1So neat and I love the record bowl they're featured in. I've made one in my oven before.
2Hi, I was surfing the web tonight and ran across your site that featured the coasters and warped vinyl baskets that my hubby and I make. We discovered that the album jackets provoke some very strong memories for folks. We wanted a way to preserve the artwork that was so prevalent in the 70's. Long story short, the coasters are constructed using 1/2" cabinet grade Baltic birch plywood, some glue, 36 felt pads, the album jacket and four coats of gloss finish. We discovered that the vinyl records made a nifty basket to keep the 9 coasters in. I must admit, warping the vinyl records are just plain fun. I'm always surprised at the vinyl shape.
3Thanks for including our creations on your site.
