Elizabeth Lyons's New Pressed Glass Chandelier

Last year, when I showed you Elizabeth Lyons's craveworthy glass decanters, many of you swooned over the graceful colored containers. Lyons also creates chandeliers, and her new pressed glass chandelier was recently featured in The New York Times, where it was revealed that the rectangular pressed glass chandelier sells for a cool $5,000.

Like many luxury items, this one was inspired by more humbler objects. Lyons riffed on the shape and look of drain gates, hot plates, and pizzelle presses when crafting the shape and look of her new chandelier.
