Do You Use Tablecloths?

A tablecloth can instantly improve a less-than-perfect dining table. It can also add a note of elegance to a dinner party. Do you have one on your table?

always for holidays and special occasions...not everyday though!

I grew up with my mum, her sister and mother always with using a table cloth... Never have my round table without one :D

I do, because my table top looks awful and it's easier/cheaper than getting a new dining table.

I love tablecloths. They instantly transform the dining area. Seasonal, whimsical, formal, nostalgic, I love them all.

In pictures they always look lovely, but when I use them they look stiff and informal. Ends up being just another thing I have to wash.

I have an antique table in my kitchen that is perfectly distressed from over 50 years of use. I love it's natural beauty so I don't use tablecloths to cover it. However, I am keeping an eye out for a nice vintage one to put on my table for special meals, like Saturday morning brunch with the husband.

I don't really like tablecloths, they seem like yet another thing to wash (some are really gorgeous though). However, the table in the house I'm about to move in has seen better days. I'll be getting a table cloth for that to avoid getting pinched by the edges. Necessity rather than desire...
