Do You Make Your Bed Every Day?

While I love the look of a tidy, crisply made bed, there's something so romantic about an unmade bed like this one. Even better news? Not making your bed every day can help to reduce dust mites. What's your routine at your house when it comes to making the bed?

In a perfect world, I'd let the bed air out by pulling the covers all the way off for a while, then make the bed. Sometimes I don't get to air it out (for the dust mite problem), but I definitely need to make the bed everyday - for a variety of reasons which are mainly, staying out of it!

I make my bed every day. By "make," i don't necessarily mean it's perfect, but at the very least i pull the covers up. I'm with Frenched above, i feel better getting into a made bed.

<Pet peeve on> It bothers me when people say "I'm so OCD about x." If you like a clean room/ made bed/ organized house, you don't have a disease. If you have to check the locks of your house in weird numerical combinations before you leave the house, then come talk to me. <peeve off>Bed is always made - usually by husband (I leave the house first)

I can't leave the house without making mine... every single day...... is a must ...to keep clean and feel good to get back at the end of the day

I make it when I live alone but since I live with my boyfriend I don't do it! He will mees it up any moment, no bother! It's my own appartment, I do it when someone comes to see me!

Making the bed every day is one of my New Year's resolutions. So far I've been doing it without fail :)

I'm with Frenched--if I was running late and didn't make the bed in the morning or then when I get home I still usually somewhat make it just to get in it to sleep--I can't sleep until it is somewhat back together! Needless to say I almost always make my bed.

I try to make it every day but sometimes I just don't have the time or hubby will be still sleeping on it so I'll occasionally ask him to make it. I think I get better sleep when I sleep in a made bed. Sleeping in an already unmade bed is kind of stressful :|

In that article, they talk about moisture letting dust mites thrive, and that is exactly why I often forget to make my bed. I let it air out near the open window and then forget to put it back.

I make mine pretty much every day...but it's mainly because I can't sleep unless the bed is tidy. Tucked in sheets, the whole shebang.

Same here -- another OCD person. I must make my bed (after stretching when I get up). An unmade bed makes me crazy. :)

I can't leave the house without making mine. It's a weird OCD thing I have. Only started when I moved into my studio. Now that my bedroom is my living room, I HAVE to make the bed.
