I love my home! It may not be my dream house, but it's the right home for me right now. It has many flaws but I always enjoy contemplating my next decorating moves, even if it means "making lemonade." But, there may be many of you who live in dorms or rental apartments you're not quite happy with. And others may have purchased your ideal home or live somewhere that suits you to a T. Tell me where you stand by taking this poll.

I
my homes. I LOVE my parent's huge house b/c they have a pool, a movie room, a game
room, and I have a FAB closet in my room but I also LOVE my small apt that I share with my boyfriend b/c it's ours!
1"No, I have a lot of issues with my home and living situation."
This may sound funny to you considering how much work I/we have been putting into this house but the one thing that contiunes to bother me is that my husband bought this house - 10 years prior to our meeting - with his previous wife. Truth is that they, as a couple, made no improvements to the house during that time and there is no stamp of hers on this house. So I guess I'm finally settling into the idea of making it mine.
Still, if we were to go house hunting together, right now I would prefer and insist on a larger kitchen and a better proportioned living room, 2 bathrooms downstairs, an additional bedroom on the first floor and more closet space.
On the positive side of things my husband does have about 1500 square foot for his basement workshop and I have a studio that consumes about 1800 square foot on the second floor.
2Currently I rent a house and I'm limited to the decorating and work I can do to it. The major issue i've had with the house is the minimal closet space and have to use the garage for major storage.
3I just told my boyfriend yesterday that our house is starting to really feel like my "home" now. I love it!
It takes me a couple of months to settle in, but this is our OWN place and we can do whatever we want
We are slowly filling it up (because we had like NO furniture before) and uggg I just want to be there right now!
4I love my place, but I find that I have to keep reminding myself of that. Reading all these blogs and seeing beautiful pictures, I keep getting these urges to upgrade (I want a townhouse/I want a yard/I want a fancy city apartment/I want a deck for barbeques/I want a single family home/I want a garden/etc.). But when I take a step back, I realize that I live in a great apartment in a great neighborhood, with many opportunities to make small changes and experiment with decor and design. So I wouldn't say it's really a coveted crib, but it's perfect for my husband and me.
5I LOVE my house! We just bought our first home and it is perfect for us. We just moved in 2 months ago so there is still some decorating i want to do and we want to finish the upstairs (the previous owner started it and never finished) but it is great.
6I love my home! It is perfect for us right now. It isn't a coveted crib, but it works! It's brand new (so no repairs), has a yard and a garage. We have two bathrooms...one for each of us. The best part is that it's affordable...no stress to make the mortgage each month. Gotta love that the most.
7I wouldn't say my house is everything I want, but I do love it.
8I love my place, but it is an apartment, and I want a condo or a house. Have been saving up for a while, now just waiting for our lease to expire and prices to go down a bit more...
9I'm perfectly happy, but I wouldn't say I love my home.
I live in an apartment. It's very resident-friendly though, and pets are allowed with no weight limits! I do have a fireplace that I never use, and a nice balcony with flowers. The dogs love hanging out there. My bathroom is considerably bigger than the one I had before. My apartment is a 1 bedroom and about 700 square feet, so it's pretty spacious. I really want a place with a backyard for my dogs, other than that I don't really need anything else.
10The same thing happened to me this weekend, Lovely. I bought a few small outdoor decor items on summer clearance. I got goosebumps while I was putting them up because I was decorating a place that really felt like home to me.
11i am still looking. I have a nice apt right now but i would love more space and maybe a balcony and a better location...my list is too long to list.
12I LOVE my place! I bought it about 1 year ago and it's pretty much everything I want! It's 3 bedrooms plus an eat-in kitchen, living room with gorgeous wood-burning fireplace, formal dining room, huge back deck and cute garden. All this in the middle (literally) of the city, close to eeeeeverything. Also, it's a Victorian so it's super charming but has also been maintained so well, so it's practically like it's new! The inspector who went over it before we bought said he couldn't believe how amazing its condition is, which saves us on upkeep headaches, yay!!
13I rent an apartment that is not really my style at all. But the location is idea, thats what I like.
14I love my little one bedroom apartment! It's not ideal. I would love to be able to own a two bedroom two bath home. I just can't afford one on my own. I don't want to be house poor!
15can anyone love living in a basement suite under noisy landlords who are doing major renovation all summer? also - it is very expensive and i hate the location...plus, it is small and dark. basically, there is nothing i like about it at all.
16I'm just in an overly cluttered, very simple apartment right now, but I'm really happy with the brave, difficult decisions I made that got me here, even if to some it seems steps backward. (Leave a husband, lose a house) Emotionally, I'm feeling better, so my place is truly good enough for me. And I've got my dog and bf, so I need nothing more.
17I don't love it just yet, but hope to love it when we're done with the renovations. I do love my kitchen though.
18Yes & no. I've been living in my place since March, so I'm slowly working on making it into a place that I love. With the decorations I want, the furniture I want & all that stuff. So, while I do love my place, it still needs a lot of work to get to where I want it.
19my house is small but i absolutely love my room!
20i love my home
