Do You Have a Sledding Hill at Your House?

One of my favorite parts of my childhood home was the huge (for the Midwest!) sledding hill behind our house. My siblings and I would pour water on it at night so it would get super-fast and icy by the next morning. While I don't think I'd risk broken bones on such an endeavor today, I do miss the old sledding hill.

We have one right behind our house that leads down to the pond. We went yesterday with the boys, it was so fun. I'm sore today though.It was so cold we had to keep running inside to the woodstove. I love winter.

I wish! I live in the desert where we only get snow once every 3-4 years and it never stays on the ground very long - BOO!

We live in the valley and don't get much snow down here, but we're less than an hour away from the top of the mtn. so we can go up there to go sledding!! wooohoooo!!

no not really. we usually have to wait until there's so much snow that our busy street is blocked off and we sled down it (it's a big hill)

During the winter they put up a big berm on the beach and the kids sled down that. They look like they are having a blast :-)

No show here either... but that's okay, I've never lived where there's snow.

I don't sled much anymore but I liked the inflatable tube with handles because it packed the snow down and got faster and faster the longer you sled.

My best friend's house had the BEST sledding hill. Her dad and brothers would work on it all winter, icing it down and putting in snow ramps and mogels... it was all kinds of awesome.
