Roses add elegance and color to any garden space. While many modern-day cut rose varieties are bred for looks rather than scent, my favorites are the old, fragrant varieties. They may not have a perfect appearance, but they smell wonderful.

I have knockout roses - they're practically un-killable, and have beautiful blooms for many months!

If I didn't have a habit of killing plants of any kind (except the ever hardy bamboo), I'd have a rose bush. Unfortunately, I tend to kill any plant within a fortnight.
