Do You Hang Mistletoe?

Hanging mistletoe never was my tradition, but I'm all for taking it up. Although, sometimes I think it would make more sense to just hang it at holiday parties, or before first dates. . .

I'm from an area that has mistletoe growing in abundance. It's a parasite that that kills treas and is poisonous to humans. not something i want in my house.

I want to, but I've always heard and read that the berries are very poisonous to pets. On one website, they call this plant the "Kiss of Death" to pets. So be careful if you hang it and have pets! This is the only reason that I don't do it, I have two cats.

Always, it's a great Celtic tradition but I think it's connotations with love comes from a Scandinavian myth.The ancient Druids used it in their rituals as a symbol of fertility and all that is sacred.

i haven't hung it - more to the point that i'm not a x-mas person - but i'm all for it for those who do celebrate the holiday

I always hang it and hubby and I always drag eachother under it!!! As if we need an excuse! But it cute....our sons drag their girls to it and it becomes a great source of holiday chuckles!!
