I love how utterly romantic this image is. It's straight out of a romantic foreign film. Practically, though, I'd worry about fire hazards associated with having candles within kicking distance.

No, I have a 2 year old and I'm a klutz. We are disatrous as-is, adding fire at floor level is just asking for trouble.
