Decorating Ideas From the Ace Hotel Palm Springs

Get the Look: Ace Hotel Palm Springs

If spending the entire Summer at the Ace Hotel Palm Springs isn't an option, chill out and check out my ideas for incorporating the decor into your pad. Using a mix of vintage furniture, surfer style, and California modern, the Ace creates a stunningly original aesthetic, and with the right pieces, you can too. Here's how to get the look of three of my favorite spaces.

The Simple Suite
With white shutters, cool colors, and a tulip coffee table at the center, this living space combines elements of midcentury modern and surfer chic. Hanging beach-centric ephemera on the walls adds a warm touch.

The Ace Suite
The crown jewel of this remade motor lodge, the Ace Suite clusters leather loungers for a funky '70s vibe, but the rooms also evoke the American West with a cowhide rug and Native American patterns.

The Outdoor Decor
The patio areas attached to the suites take elements from both styles: a modern wire chair (looks like CB2's Igloo chair, below) plays surprisingly well off tribal rugs and a vintage picnic table. Don't forget the hammock!
