According to the New York Times, Harry Potter portrayer Daniel Radcliffe has purchased a 2,446-square-foot apartment at 1 Morton Square in the Far West Village in Manhattan. Jacquie Garrett of Stribling & Associates handled the sale of the apartment, which was previously owned by her son and daughter-in-law. Radcliffe, who is only 18, purchased the apartment for $4.9 million. This is his second downtown Manhattan purchase in less than a year, as he purchased a condo on Mercer Street last November for $4.3 million.

The three-bedroom apartment features such amenities as graceful curved windows, a 500-bottle wine cellar (perhaps for his parents or of-age pals), and marble and granite counters. Apparently, being Harry Potter pays off.
