DIY Pinecone Holiday Decorating Project

I'm in love with gold decorations for this holiday season. So much, that I decide to spray paint a pine cone or two — ok eight! — in a smooth gold finish.

After cutting some ribbon in various lengths, I used some hot glue to adhere the ribbon to the pine cones. Then I hung them up to shine!

This was a really easy and inexpensive project to do at home and it's a great alternative to making a traditional wreath.
