Get the Look: Anna Burke's West Village Apartment

It took a great deal of vision and some serious styling prowess, but Anna Burke, a designer for Kemble Interiors, saw the potential in the two bedroom West Village apartment that she shares with her sister Caroline. Drawing on visual tricks to lighten and maximize the space while adding personal touches, the apartment reflects the sisters' DIY bohemian aesthetic while still managing to look incredibly polished.

A lily pad style coffee table not only provides a sculptural focal point, but can service the stretch of the room without overcrowding the space. Resting on the table is a bowl filled with preserved moss balls which can be a great plant alternative if you don't have a green thumb but want a pop of freshness. A gilded sunburst mirror and steamer trunk add a touch of posh vintage to the space while a graphic black and white striped rug creates a modern contrast.

Covering a casual white sofa with a fur throw is such a smart way to add incredible texture and richness. Vintage blooming wallpaper by Bob Collins & Sons introduces a splash of personality to a dining nook, which also visually separates the living sections. Other vintage items, like the glass-topped brass dining table and a playful Andy Warhol print, highlight the eclectic vibe of the space.
